Paranoia buddies? Paranoia buddies.

In slightly more seriousness, Wash hasn't dealt with Alex's particular flavor of paranoia, but he would have some tips on how to deal with paranoia in general. He also counts as a reasonable adult on a good day!

(Also, if he finds out Alex doesn't have combat experience, he will absolutely rope him into combat training. That is What Wash Does.)

oh my god, PLEASE drag him into combat training, this boy only knows how to get into flailing fistfights.

Also tips on paranoia. Honestly the idea of Wash giving him advice is so soft.

"Providing combat training for people who have none" is turning out to be a lot of what Wash does here, so he will absolutely train Alex how to fight! He's also studying magic, so he may be able to provide a little bit of insight there.

Oh, that'd be wonderful too! He's going to have a bit of a time when he figures out who his otherworldly patron is, so any kind of insight is. Good.

What if something's already tried to kill you and succeeded, what then.

Wash's insight is a bit more "how magic works in this world" and a bit less "'So You've Made A Pact With An Otherworldly Entity' Captain America Meme," but he'll try! It'll be the blind leading the blind, but that's some good comedy.

I will say that Red vs Blue is kind of Pop Culture Reference Hell, so if Alex starts explaining the Rube Goldberg Machine murders, there might be a Final Destination reference in the prose; that said, it won't be to Alex's face, and Wash isn't going to recognize him as a character from a Final Destination movie, so. No direct fourth walling, if you're okay with that!
