[The key to gaining Ryuji's trust really quickly: reaffirming something he's anxious about; whether that be his particularly weird way of thinking, or telling him that it's okay. Or if it's not okay? That it's okay not to be okay. He definitely doesn't have all the answers in life, and he certainly doesn't purport to, nor is he really looking for someone else who does. Just to be understood when he doesn't really get himself sometimes... it goes a long way.
So he sits there as she starts playing.
Music always has a really deep way of affecting Ryuji, and it's always been a part of his life. Mostly not the classical stuff, since it typically bored him, but as he watches Kaede's fingers glide across, he can feel every trill with a shiver that runs down his spine. There's something about the way she presses so loudly and then pulls back that makes him feel the song in a way he never thought he could feel classical music to do before.
And he doesn't know why, but he starts to get teary eyed. As it goes on, his frown deepens as a trickle of salty shit just glides down his cheek like it's the winter olympics and his face is a ski slope. He doesn't really want Kaede to see this, though, so even when the music stops, he leans his head down so that it's out of immediate view.
There really just... aren't words. He misses Hajime so much. He misses his friends so much. He hasn't seen his mom in over 8 months. He doesn't want to say farewell to any of them.]
