[Lyse nods in acknowledgment, then turns her attention to the vines.] Right, then. Here goes nothing.

[She steps forward slowly, with a cool confidence that she absolutely does not feel at all. It's been years since she witnessed any kind of cleansing, and feels like a lifetime... hopefully she can get across the intent, though, even if she can't remember the exact verbiage. She takes a deep breath, then raises her hands to the vines in supplication.]

O benevolent spirit, hearken to my plea! Pray expunge our woodsin, that we may come before thee purified.

[The extra-formal language sounds a bit stilted, coming from her. This is clearly not a ritual she performs on the daily.]

We... have no quarrel with thee, and wish no ill upon thee. Those who have harmed you sought but safe passage, and... and we come before thee now seeking the same. [Okay. She straightens a bit, beginning to find a groove.] Tell us, pray, how we might allay thy greenwrath, and be delivered safely through!

[Was that good? She hopes that was good. Now she waits, unconsciously holding her breath...]
