Lyse Hext | Final Fantasy XIV | Monk of course

[Lyse is no stranger to grief. Nor to loss, war, slaughter, calamity... But no matter how often it happens, it never hits her any less hard. Losing her whole world, though? Being the one soul, out of so many millions, chosen to survive? No amount of tragedy could have prepared her for this.

Still, there's only so far a person can collapse in on herself, and before long, she emerged to start taking on missions. In this way, at least, it's the same - she'll feel better if she's doing something constructive. She'd do anything to stop the same fate from befalling any other star. If these "Grand Relics" are the key, then so be it. She'll throw in her lot with the Bureau.

Anyway, her friends would want her to carry on fighting. Especially the Warrior of Light... For those we have lost, they'd say. For those we can yet save.]

1. goldcliff trust (do it for the vine)

[Lyse's attempt at clearing the vines was probably at least a little amusing, because her plan was just "what if I punch it really, really hard." In fairness, it worked better than you'd think, but still less than you'd hope. The vines are at least as thick as ever.

So now she's kind of milling about, thinking and offering suggestions.]

... Oh! Did you try burning it? ... You did, huh? Okay, um... what about cutting it up and burning the insides, so it can't grow ba- what? Oh, you've tried that, too...

[... Maybe she'd be better off implementing somebody else's plan.]

2. floor 69 (nice)

[Our intrepid heroes have made it to the top floor somehow, only to find a burglary in progress! Presumably, by the same person responsible for all the vines. Lyse wastes no time on formalities -]

Stop right there!

[- before dashing forward and clocking her right in the face.

The Raven stumbles, but gets her gust attack off before Lyse can go back for seconds. With her concentration interrupted, though, the power goes a little wild, kicking up a whirlwind that flips chairs, knocks books off shelves, and sends paperwork flying in all directions. Lyse, at the epicenter, is flung halfway across the room and rolls a few times before she can stop herself.

The air soon settles - but the Raven is gone. Lyse hauls herself up, spitting stray hairs out of her mouth.]
Damn it! Come back here, you coward!
